Mount Rinjani in Lombok Island, forms the second highest colcanic peak in Indonesia, part of celebrated "Ring of Fire".
Mt. Rinjani (3726m), one of the over 40 National Parks throughout Indonesia, was established in '97.
There's aleke in caldera of the ancient mountain after eripted, thousands years BC. The last erupted of Mt. Baru (2351m), as an active volcano in the crater lake, in 1994.
Bayanese community with its characteristical culture live in the northwest foot-bed of the mountain.
As shown in the picture, there're some terraces rice fields on the foreground. Adat "Wetu Telu" (Three Foundations custom) is a main culture of the society.
he three top of the peaks in the background seemed representing these custom.
"Under the Sunshine" possibly reflected the daily life of Bayanese, especially work for 2 season: dry and rain season. Limited water can be found in the dry season, just because like too close under the sunshine. Hot and hot!
