Photographer's Note

In the Balinese markets, I saw some fruits that were unknown to me. I wonder if you know them. Pink fruits in the right upper corner - Pitaya, known also as dragon fruits. We can buy it in Poland but Ido not like it. Under it in the net - Passionfruit. The passion fruit is so called because it is one of the many species of passion flower, the English translation of the Latin genus name, Passiflora Around 1700, the name was given by missionaries in Brazil as an educational aid while trying to convert the indigenous inhabitants to Christianity; its name was flor das cinco chagas or "flower of the five wounds" to illustrate the crucifixion of Christ, with other plant components also named after an emblem in the Passion of Jesus. The fruits have a juicy edible center composed of a large number of seeds. They are known as maracuja and granadilla. In the lower part - big fruits of durian. Because of the bad smell, they are not allowed in transportation. Under dragon fruits, in the nets - salaks, the snake fruits. It was something new for me. Inside there is something similar to a nut. Very tasty.(see Workshop.) Above them rambutan - something similar to lichi. And in the lower right corner, what I like - mangosteen.
