Photographer's Note

The scene from the street in Ubud.
The scooters are the main mean of transportation in Bali. The streets of Indonesia teem with two-wheelers, pulsing through dense traffic in the thick, tropical climate. In a country where more than 85 percent of the population owns a scooter, Indonesia has one of the largest Vespa enthusiast communities in the world—second only to Italy.
They say that renting a scooter is the best option for visiting the places in Bali. Not for me, of course. Like in Vietnam, every crossing of the road was a challenge for me. The traffic is left-hand side.
The traffic is very heavy, so the speed of the bus was always very low.

Notice the small offerings lying in the low corner. Such small offerings are everywhere.
