Pura Tanah Lot, a photo from Bali, Nusa Tenggara

Photographer's Note

Pura Tanah Lot is a famous pilgrimage temple on interesting rock formation located at the south-west coast Bali. The translation of the name is "Land in the Middle of the sea". The temple is located on a rock just offshore.

The temple is very popular sight seeing point. At the late afternoon climb up the cliffs at the beach and you could enjoy an breath-taking sunset.

As there are some sunset picture on TE, I upload a view of the north side of the temple with the interesting stairs. (Scanned picture)

Here too a very interesting shot full of qualities. Good framing and perpendicula POV well selected. Details of the architectur well collected. Mixt very well ballanced between green of vegetation and another color. The two peopels give an idea of the scale of the place.

Temple qui semble bâti dans la boue. Malgré la lumière un peu forte, les détails ressortent très nettement. Le cadrage est idéal et les personnages donnent une dimension humaine à l'ensemble.

Bonsoir Achim,

Bon point de vue pour nous présenter l'entrée au temple. La courbure d'un escalier donne un excellent dynamisme à l’image qui est d’une belle qualité. Bravo, original et bien réalisée.

Hallo Achim. Wer einmal Pura Tanah Lot gesehen hat, wird es nicht vergessen. Dein Photo gefällt mir sehr gut. Und ich überlege, ob ich Bali in absehbarer Zeit ein weiteres mal besuchen werde. Der kleine Tempel zeigt zu jeder Tageszeit ein anderes Licht. Allein deswegen könnte man vom frühen Morgen bis zum späten Abend dortbleiben und photographieren. Viele Grüße, Wolgang.

Hi Achim,

You do have a nice PoV on this temple - which immediately caught my eye on the thumbnail / lovely colours, the entire temple almost looks like it is made of mud.
