Photographer's Note
Another sunset on 12_29, just a few days after the tsunami... on Lombok.
Lombok is much more quiet (and less touristy) than Bali. We were told it was easy to reach Lombok from Bali - you can catch a fast (2 hour) ferry just near the airport. Unfortunately, this ferry was no longer in service AND NO FERRIES were leaving the port close to the airport. We needed to take a 1.5 hour taxi drive north on Bali and then a slow 5 hour ferry ride to Lombok. A long trip for a short distance, but well worth it. Needless to say, we returned home by flying from Lombok to Bali - not bad 45 minutes and only $25 dollars!
Used a 3-stop Hard ND filter to hold back the sky. Used a small aperture to blur the small waves breaking on the shore.
- straightened image and cropped
- adjusted color and sharpened

Very Nice. I like the long exposure to smooth the water out. Looks like the ND filter did a great job keeping the exposure on target and not blowing out the sky.

Lovely shot, love the effect the long exposure has created on the water, and the pink sky also looks dandy.

Magic landscape.
The sea lokks like a sky, great effect.
I just wonder what is it the ND filter you have used.

Nice composition! the water as well as sky is soften well.
I like the reflection of sunset on water, with the wave, and also the different colour in different layers of sky.

That is a wonderful sunset with a beautiful reflection on the sea, supported by black leaf silhouettes over the top. It looks like the image is lighter than it should be due to long exposure. May I suggest a WS to adjust colours?

Dan, it's fabulous. The whiteness created by moving water... o my... really cool. And the sky's amazin, too. I especially like the brighter clouds - seeming so chcracteristic to ocean regions (call it a 'big weather'). Tom

Very good composition. I do not think the branch at the top contributes at all to the picture though. I liked the colors better at the workshop created by Hakan, but nevertheless you have captured a beautiful moment at a beautiful place. Cheers,
Alp

Beautiful work...great workshop on it too. I like the effect on the sea by the longer shutterspeed. Good POV and composition. The sky in the background is magical..good detail, nice red tones. Fine work, improved even more by the WS.
