Photographer's Note
A major cremation in Gianyar, Bali.
The sarcophagus was in the shape of an enormous black bull. This series shows the progress of the sarcophagus through the course of the crematory flames.
My FE2 body was loaded with FP4 (Black and White film), so I slapped the beautiful Nikkor 28mm f2.8 onto my trusty Nikkormat EL for this series of colour shots.

Great sequence with original changing of POVs...very interesting every one of them.
Also like the use of the white atmospherical light in contrast with the fire one. Great work Sheldon !

This is pretty cool Sheldon. I love the light through the smoky air. It must have been interesting to experience an event so different from the what we have in the west.
Well done.

Good documentation about a ritual we don't happen to hear much about in our western countries... I like the way the sun is playing with the smoke. Bravo!
