Photographer's Note

Happy New Year!

Of course, it is a little delayed, but never too late!!!

I started Year 2008 by watching sunrise on the Taj Mahal. It was a cold morning and the city seemed slow to wake up after year-end celebrations.

A beautiful mist was surrounding the Taj Mahal at floor level. Already, at 6 AM, crowds of enthusiast were gathering to witness this Wonder of the Modern World.

The Taj Mahal is a splendid construction of white marble with precious stone inlays... or at least more precious than marble! It is absolutely spectacular and gives a lasting impression that you are dreaming.

Least memorable moment was one photographer holding on to his spot like it was gold. Even though he was taking a break, he would remain in place. I mean, in front of the Taj Mahal, everybody is looking for that perfectly symmetric shot!

Some people lose their manners when they are blinded by their objectives... literally speaking in this particular case.

This was taken with a wide angle objective as the last bridge over the pond in front is quite close with a regular objective.

MeAT :)
