Photographer's Note
Tracing its origins to the Natya Shastra, an ancient treatise on classical Indian dance, written by sage Bharatha, Bharatha Natyam is a highly traditional and stylised South Indian dance form. The art form due to his malleability also extends itself to fusion dance forms.
It went into disrepute in the middle ages due to prevalent social conditions. The renaissance of the art form was possible mainly due to the efforts of luminaries such as E. Krishna Iyer, T. Balasaraswati, Kumbakonam K. Bhanumati and Rukmini Devi Arundale among others in the early decades of the last century.
Currently the dance form enjoys world wide popularity and appreciation with both male and female dancers practicing this art form.
The shot here is from a thematic presenataion Nava Vidha Bhakthi or Nine Ways of Worship. The depiction here is worship through Bhakthi or Devotion. You can see the dancers showing the way to the Lord and you can see the pose of Vishnu, the preserver of the Universe in the background.
************
This was shot in extreme low light conditions. The spot light for the Vishnu's pose in the background almost was not lit up due to a technical glitch. What can be seen is due to the spill of the other lights.
No post processing done except slight contrast adjustment and resizing for TE!

Hi Guru,
I love your description and the composition of the picture is simply fantastic. The photo is a little underexposed. I have conduct a workshop for this picture to adjust the contrast a little through leveling in PS CS2. I hope you like it.
