Superb photo, Arindam. The rooster is watching over the dejected woman like a sentinnel. Wonderful color. Perhaps just a wee bit more space on the right side might have been a stronger composition.

very nice photo Arindam, the moment is beautiful - the pose of the rooster, the expression of the girl. i like that red spot of color in the middle, i wish there was some space on the right side of the girls though. still, it is a very nice photo

Hello Arindam. Great shot, I like this rooster in the front, like he is guarding the hen house. and the girl sitting there with the pot, she looks dejected and sad. Great textures as well. excellent work.

Very well done, Arindam. The rooster looks like he's in charge (or at least he thinks so), while the woman looks like fate and life have removed any such idea from her thoughts. And she is consigned to the edge of the image, while the rooster occupies the center. It all says a lot about life--very well done! Regards, Ken.

Hi Arindam...that isn't a simple rooster!
it's the King of the roosters!
what a strong attitude!
great shot, colorful, full of light, with a perfect focus and POV.
thanks, ciao

Breathtaking shot, Arindam... the whole milieu, the rooster and the beautiful woman in the back, the textures, the pov.... all are just breathtaking.
Now I shall have to say bye to one of my favorites as I have reached the limit... and replace it with this one.
Thank you

Hi Arindam.
Splendide compo.
Le pov est fantastique et la façon dont tu as cadré cette scène est un pure délice.
Le coq prend de l'importance, mais pourtant mon regard va directement se poser sur cette femme qui a l'air désamparée.
Atmosphère forte et compo très bien gérée.

Arindam,
Really excellent image. Most of what needs to be said has already been said by others, but I want to address the colours.
There is a gorgeous vein of blue that runs from the wall on the left hand side, through the fabric below the rooster, then the fabric below that, and on to the woman's clothes, her bowl, and the door frame.
This thread of colour doesn't dominate the image, but it makes the whole photo cohere really nicely. The reds and browns and oranges on the rooster and the wall behind him are a nice counterpoint.
Really well done.

i love this rooster!
beautiful one Arindam, lady's natural pose is simply stunning.. i am not so sure of the peeking lady behind though.. lol. i wonder if it would be better without..
Still, colours and composition are perfectly done..
a good stuf.
cheers.

You pull great, evocative, searching shots out of thin air, Arindam. I love your "touch", your approach which is so often genuinely original. The way you set up a relationship of sorts between the rooster and the sad young woman at her doorstep.
Brilliant work, as far as I'm concerned.
Best,
Francis

Hey Arindam,
funy that maciek commented, he has a shot of a rooster himself. I like it. The rooster is such a strong image here. I wish the girl was a bit more visible though.

Well, are you sure that it is a hen? I suppose this is the rooster! But, never mind. Photo is amazing as usual. Pretty good, indeed. Regards.

I like the scene, but the composition on the right side isn't so successful, I think.
