Hi Arindam, Excellent shot this one! I love how you caught this man while waking up (we should all smile like that when we wake up in the morning!). The sunlight on his face is lovely as is the texture of the blanket and the colours. The best here is of course the passenger in the round window of his auto-rickshaw. Absolutely perfect! Bravo! for me it is something flat Arindam.. I dont know why after you posted the 3 boys image in TE,( Eid Mubarak )
last two were not upto the mark..
that may be because people ask for more and more... but i was not moved by those couple of shot one in B/W and then the other one with a fenching and this one too...
seems these are not your good photographs at all...
i dont find the depth here at all... may be you should have shown more of the space here.. not a tight crop ..
or may be some different POV... it is not looking like inside of an auto if you dont say that in the notes...
and it is just looking like an arrnaged photograph here...there are two brighter place inside the auto
which takes away my attention from your subject too... kind of a disturbance when i want to concentrate on your subject much...
i dont know what to say ... but something is missing.. something.. it is not moving me at all...

I'll join Sandip, despite all so obvious qualities of the photo. I do not mind arranged portrait, even pasted image in the window I would accept, but two faces really distract and you lost the direction of the story... Sorry... I cropped for myself your photo and was surprised to discover that despite the povertry, the rikshow driver ...wakes up happy! How many people in posh bedrooms meet the day with such inocent smile?! The story in this photo is in the eyes of the driver!

Hi Arindamda,
Againa nice one from you but somehow it is not striking like the others that you have posted earlier. The bright face on the rt side is more of a distraction than an impact. Teh guys face has a nice expression though but again the light plays spoil sport. With all due respect I think you whould tone it down a little. Probably crop the brigt face behind the seat.
Hope you will not mind the honest comments!!

Very interesting. I really like the composition, although Im not sure about the face in the window. I think it distracts from the subject's face. I congratulate you on your courage, I doubt I would try to shoot this sort of photo just because I would have hestitations about shooting people in such situations.

Hi Arindam
Beautiful shot ! The light in the rickshaw is perfect and I love the face of the driver just waking up. Colours are great too and the round windows behind looks like a tv...:-) Cheers

Sandip maybe right when he proposes BW, but i think that would owe more to the quality of the composition, which usually BW enhances.
As for me I'm quite happy with a color shot, specially for the tones of his weary blanket. Of course, the lighting through the window is totally bunrt out, this is something I don't understand while looking at your WS, because the light on both sides, driver and outside the autorickshaw seem even. taht's your only flaw here, perhaps you should have prefered a darker exposure too.
You're doing amazing things with a tiny camera, I join Rafal Jinju to say that if you had a SLR in hands you'd be one of the most praised street photographers in this site.

a very good shot of the realities of this man's life Arindam - an excellent choice of framing and the moment to capture the guy passing behind - just to think people sit on his bed up and down all day - which becomes his home at night.
I'm in two minds about Devjit's comment - there is an argument that competing thirds are best avoided - the acid test is whether the two elements relate across the frame - here that could be a matter of the viewers choice and imagination but I do see what he means and on balance I woulkd probably prefer that this person wasn't there BUT as they are I can easily imagine a narrative to make his presence meaningful. Hope that's helpful in some way.
a strong image
best wishes kev

Brilliant take! The decision to include the other man through the back window was terrific.

good image, esp. with the another guy in a window. I must admit that although I wouldn't like to exchange with him, his place looks quite cosy :).

Great image, Arindam!
This man wear a beautiful smile when waking up! Life it's so beautiful from his smile.
Also the other man in different mood from the back window tell us that not always life it's so.
We have to paint our lives with the colours we want or almost try to.
Your image it's simply perfect!

This is really great and the timing.. wow. Great light on the drivers face too. The window, another portrait. Also gives the feeling of this being his home as you had mentioned.

Arindam..
This is again wonderful..
I like the complexity of this shot & colors.
You really made a magic with this one..
Bit frank comments, I realli like t6his series or shot you took in this phase..but curretnly I am seeing more Bokeh or sort or repetation of bokeh in your photos.
Ofcoure I like those photos but I think just bokeh may fed viewers..
Keep it up.
