Photographer's Note

Kumaraparvatha (or Pushpagiri) is the 4th highest peak of the state Karnataka. It is located within the riches of lush green Western Ghats and has now been considered under Protection by the UNESCO for its intense Biosphere, comprising of few endemic species of herbs, floral plants, amphibians, reptiles and butterflies. One has to climb 3 peaks from the temple Town of Subrahmanya to reach the summit. With intense angular steeps and scorching sunlight, the trek to Kumaraparvatha is considered as one of the toughest in South India. From its summit, visible are the most prominent peaks of the Western Ghats like Kudremukha, Thadiyandamol, Ombathu Gudda, Venkatagiri, Balegudda, Ametikallu and Yethina Bhuja.
