Photographer's Note

As we explored the inner chambers of The New Ralong Monastary, the Lama dance and the festival continued outside. The monks and the Lamas donned colourful masks and wore brilliantly colourful robes and dresses and the dance continued for hours.
The dance mainly depicts the story of the war that Lord Buddha waged against the evil forces. He fought against the evil spirits so that good prevails and evil is abolished from the face of the earth. So that the world can be a better, safer and peceful place for us to live in.

Very interesting image from this remote place. the portrait stands out nicely thks for the shallow dof.
Colorful fig especially i like the mask and that decors, something i have not seen before. Good pov with main interest dominating the frame and though the light is quite strong but its well managed here. Nice rich colors and good contrast. Thks for the informative notes worth reading, Congrats and thks for sharing.

Nice shot again! Light is very strong, but managed quite well thanks to the use of shallow DOF. Like the details especially the ropes hanging on either side of the mask
