Photographer's Note

edit: i actually posted the wrong version over here. i wanted to upload the horizontal shot instead, so kindly have a look at that one as well. i somehow find that that version puts more stress on the smaller boy, and i kind of like the feel of that one more. feel free to tell me which one you like more. thanks :)

this was one of those times when i was experimenting with the light ans stuff. since i have recently been uploading high contrast stuff with a lot of white in it, i thought of adding this one here as well. at the time i took this, i wasn't very used to useing a red filter, so what i just overexposed the film a bit and then was planning on getting the contrast added in the darkroom. the two boys are also there in the links given below, though those are of a much darker nature. at that time i was enjoying some dark stuff, so i didnt upload this one, then. these 2 boys are street kids, who i found playing in a garbage dump. there were more......
excuse the quality here ( though i kind of like it :)) since i dont have money or the time to get this one printed, i just scanned this one from a contact sheet, which infact also brought in some grains and i love it. the border is from the contact sheet itself as it can be made out. somehow i didnt want to remove it.
when i take photographs i generally like to find their eyes. i wish fusun could see this.
for dave (riz) i was telling you about sometimes getting carried away with symmetrical tilts , well this is another example :). i might not be able to get back to those who write in anytime soon, since i'll be busy studying for my exams for the next 10 days, i'll try to get back to you as soon as possible
