Photographer's Note

View of the Fort at the village of Chandragiri in the south of Andhra Pradesh not far from Tirupati. The fort was built in the 11th century, actually is in ruins. Chandragiri has got a relative importance during the last centuries, the village was under the control of the Vijayanagar Kingdom and later on by the Sultan of Golconda. On 1687 came under the control of the Mughals. The city is actually a lost, remote and dusty village and few travelers go there. At the outskirts of the village we can see plenty of monuments spread in the area. A nice visit if you travel to Tirupati/Tirumala.
