Pushkar is a semi-desert town sacred to Hindus in eastern Rajasthan. Located some 13 km from Ajmer on the edge of a small & beautiful lake. A maze of temples, one would never be far from the sound of worship, from ascetics and pilgrims in this so lively vibrant place.

An important pilgrimage site, an occasion for Hindu pilgrims to converge for a holy dip in the sacred Lake to "wash away the sins of a lifetime" . The lake is bounded by 52 ghats built over the centuries by kings and nobles. With some 500 temples, Pushkar prides itself as being the site of the only temple of the Hindu God of Creation, Brahma.

A unique place and gem amongst the grandeur of Rajasthan, is now a popular tourist spot for its famous colorful camel festival where a riot of colors and frenzied burst of activity come alive, a real tourism delight, an unforgettable experience to capture the vibrancy of the entire state of Rajasthan in one place..
