Photographer's Note
A sadhu arrives on a cycle at the Fair ground in Pushkar. I know I shouldnt have cropped off his legs, but he was so close and I cudnt move bak any further, and I had the wrong lens for the occasion, so this is the best I cud do.
From a mere 14,000 to a massive 200,000! This is how the population of Pushkar swells during the Pushkar Fair. A spotlight of one's Indian holiday, the festival hosts around 50,000 camels which are sold, decorated, shaved and raced. The show goes on for a whole week as travellers continue to join in the fun, which includes a number of cultural competitions.
For those intending to visit Pushkar :
Fair Dates for 2007 : November 18th to 24th 2007
Fair Dates for 2008 : November 07th to 13th 2008

Hello Sunil. First once this is a wonderful, outstanding composed and photo worth seeing. Only after it comes the text, which gives the further information. The picture is a masterful maximum performance. Congratulation. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Sunil,
This is such an interesting image of the sadhu, and the tight cropping has worked well. Just the man, his bike and his colurful clothes. Well captured.
Cheers Grant

Hello Sunil,
An excellent picture. Never mind the cropping of legs or parts of the bicycle. The sharpness and lighting is very good, and there are so many interesting details to watch. And maybe the best of all is that you managed to ge the sadhu standing out so perfectly against the neutral background.

Gert

Hi Sunil,
Was he on top of a hill or something, the low POV is very interesting and helps you to isolate the sadhu and get him in the backdrop of the sky.
Best Wishes

The note is not long but very useful and informative (I had no idea of those numbers, specially about the visitors), and the photo is unusual - the white background adds drama to the scene, interesting shot !

Hello Sunil. Great shot...I Like the perspective and point of view. I even like that you cut off his legs...this allows the viewer to concentrate on his hand and face. Congratulations.

Dear Sunil,
The holy gesture of blessings in right hand has added the attraction in the picture. Good composition.
Best wishes.

Hello Sunil ji,
This is wonderful! The expression and the posture of the sadhu is beautifully captured! I like it very much. And I don't mond the crop at all. My only concern is the background. Is that only sky in the bg? or how did you find him in a so much isolated place that there is nothing behind the sadhu?
best regards
Sayan
