Photographer's Note

Early morning at Palika Ghat, an important pilgrimage site at lake Pushkar - when a whole range of colourful people (and animals) gather to perform their morning ablutions and place prayer offerings to Lord Brahma, the Hindu God of Creation. An important pilgrimage site for devout Hindus, this holy lake is bounded by some five hundred temples and 'ghats' built over the centuries by kings and nobles.

A unique place and gem amongst the grandeur of Rajasthan where a riot of colours and frenzied burst of religious activity come alive everyday. It's indeed an unforgettable photographic experience as if to capture
the vibrancy of the entire state of Rajasthan in one place..

Hello Abmdsudi,
The reflections are truly amazing here. The distortions are great and I love the mix of blue and warm colours. Also the steps on the other side of the water are well included with the people over there and their bright clothes.

A very interesting one from this site of pilgrimage but also beautiful with the great reflections across the lake.
And a question for you: You list you country as Singapore but have no photos from there on TE.

This composition is beautiful with the charm of the ghatts and the stairs as a background, although what attracts our attention the most is the beautiful reflection in the water and the color of the women's sari on the shore.
Very good lighting management and very good sharpness.
