Photographer's Note
Stop me if you’ve seen this one before.
This holy man greets the many Pilgrims who make their way up to the hilltop Savitri temple which overlooks Pushkar town. I’ve already posted a head and shoulders portrait of him but this one shows a bit more context – I like all the religious paraphernalia which surround him and allows him to perform simple pujas for worshippers. There is a plate with a few coins on it and I added to this before heading back to the lakeside for some breakfast. A good start to the day.
Personally I think this looks better in black and white but I’ve posted the colour version to provide maximum contrast to the earlier shot.

well, claude is right about the pic beeing very busy; on the other hand, though, i have a feeling that all those things packed in the shot are necessary in this case in order to give us the feeling of the place, and not only to concentrate on the man

I think this ins intersting because it puts him in context. The colors are very nice, so I am pleased you chose to post the color shot.

Very nice picture with the texture all around. His straight stare is a bit distracting, though. Light just on his face is good and you have saved the facial expressions from getting washed away by the bright light. Good picture.
