Photographer's Note

A short, leisurely stroll brings one from the Mahavira Temple to the Sachiya Mata Temple, built on a hill at the eastern edge of Osian. The latter temple dates from the 12th century, but there was a temple on this site as early as the 8th. Sachiya Mata is dedicated to the Goddess Durga, and as a consequence, many infertile women make a pilgrimmage to here in the hopes of having a child. This photo presents the very small commercial area at the entrance.
