Photographer's Note

The Shekhawati region of Rajasthan sits on the edge of the Thar Desert. It is mainly known for its havelis--painted mansions with decorated courtyards. I stumbled on this scene while walking around the town in a vain attempt to find a working ATM. The sky's a little too brightly cloudy (the monsoon season had just ended) but it reminds me of the solitary moments in India.
