Photographer's Note

I was drawn to this moderately veiled woman with only a mesh screen for her to look out on the world from amongst a group of women road workers who were having a short break by the road side in Jodhpur. For married woman it is common to cover their face with a veil in front of strangers, and anyone could be under that fabric cocoon...

Her momentarily pause who appeared to be looking in my direction, allowed me to steal few good frames zoomed in at 200 mm. At the same time i was trying to preserve the natural moments in life of people immersed in their environment. Interesting that you never know what you might get walking in streets, but this is what came out of the camera. I know there are many shortfalls.

Just a glimpse into a slice of street life...

Setting: 200 mm, 1/250 sec, F5.0, ISO Raw 200, 0750 hrs
