Photographer's Note

Here my final picture in my small series of people sewing in India. I liked this mans small workshop with his various sewing implements such as scissors, tape measure, bobbins, and the bowl probably filled with pins. He was busy winding thread.

Sewing or stitching is the fastening of cloth, leather, furs, bark, or other flexible materials, using needle and thread. Its use is nearly universal among human populations and dates back to Paleolithic times (30,000 BCE). Sewing predates the weaving of cloth.
