Photographer's Note
Jaisalmer is a city in Rajasthan, India. It is sometimes referred to by the epithet "The Golden City". It lies in the heart of the Thar Desert, and has a population of about 78,000.
Outside the fort is the main market place called Manek Chowk. From Manek Chowk, one can walk into the lanes where the famous carved havelis are to be found.
Here we saw a lot of sellers with fruit or vegetable.
Also these two men making some sweet cookies in oil.
It seemed to be they live an "easy way of life", no stress, everything slow.

I remember Jaisemer alleys.... and people cooking this way. But it is not an easy way of life! I

Nice portrayal of daily life. Any bazaar in northern India. Today of all days our thoughts are turned to busy bazaars in India and the maniacs that destry innocent lives.

Hi, I saw this photo on TE's first page today, I don't know if you'll ever read what I wrote, but anyway : I think it is an interesting photo, taken from an interesting angle (including the sewage and the evacuation below :), and I'll add it to my theme. Great photo, bravo !
