Photographer's Note

Elephant joy ride is high on most visitors' list of things to do in Amer Fort complex. I was enchanted watching these majestic placid animals as they slowly and meticulously walked single file driven by the 'mahouts' without a glance sideways. He was not so pleased with my camera though!

Setting: 25 mm, 1/125 sec, F14, ISO Raw 200, 0854 hrs

A great point of view from almost under the elephant. The mahout should be well used to people taking photos.

Great up close capture, Abmdsudi. It look almost as if you're lying down in front of the elephant, that's dangerous! Good traingle (delta) shape in the composition, lovely how the head of the rider just pops out too.

Hello Abmdsudi, I also rode on the elephant to the Amber Fort. It was a bit of a tourist trap but I liked it. It was fun.
