Chowpatty beach, a photo from Maharashtra, West

Photographer's Note

Last night in Mumbai, tommorrow is another day: back to Paris. Here again we wanted to live our last hours in Mumbai.

Chowpatty beach is the most popular place in Mumbai. The sea fresh air, the view aling with multiple, the view, etc make this place a very pleasant one.

Don't look for any subjetcs in focus ;o), none focus in purpose ...

I put in WS version in b/w with & w/o grains, don't know which you like, please let me know.

Very nice and interesting picture. The "out of focus" effect and the "noise" work really well with this picture. As you can understand I prefer the original version than the WS. Well done!

Salut Alain.
Perso, je vais être franc mais sur celle-ci j'accroche moins.
T'aimes bien jouer sur ce genre de compo, ce genre d'ambaince, ce stlye un peu décallé, et en général j'adhère, mais là, ouais, je sais pas, je suis moins emballé.
L'atmosphère est là, c'est bien capturé, mais je suis quand même pas franchement satisfait.
Le pire, c'est que j'arrive pas vraiment à dire ce qui m'emmbête !
Désolé pour la critique on ne peut moins constructive ;)

BW version looses it's appeal, colour version is beautifull, but quite frankly I can put my finger on why, perhaps something similarly to your 7 photo, there isn't anything that stands out, but all together comes out great. Your are very creative, your photography makes me think.

(Chowpatty- that's a fun word.) Your photo is very much like a dream. You've caught some vision of a mother in blue with her colorful boys around her. It's a beautiful snap of life. You need the color for this one b/c it seems too gray in bw, and because the colors seem to tell part of the story here. I like it- its a great experiment.

Salut Alain, pour moi elle marche bien celle-ci, j'aime bien ces délires... Les couleurs sont superbes et l'atmosphère qui s'en dégage est très spéciale... Je me demande juste comment tu as fait ça...

I think the blur works for me because of the vivid colours (and mainly primary). This is slightly strange, but I like it...

I like this shot. I like the square format and out-of-focus look. Not just any photo would work with that treatment but this one is successful. I do find it dreamy. It would make a great cover for a book! Great experiment.
