Photographer's Note

The day following Holi is Rang Panchami. It's also known as 'Dhuli Vandan' in Maharashtra & 'Dhuleti' in Gujrat. Holi is the festival of colous. People play with colours & slash coloured water on each other. Everyone tries to colour other with his/ her own colour, but at the end of the day it seems as if everyone is coloured with a universal, one, same colour.
Holi also announces the start of summer. Temperatures keep on soaring till the on-set of monsoon during june in major parts of India.
This picture was taken on the Rangpanchami day at Akshi beach of Alibag region in Maharashtra. It seems the sky & the earth have decided to celebrate the festival of colours in their own way with setting sun supplying them unlimited colors ...
Reposted after some pp as per suggestions from some friends on T.E.,
1.Cropped the bottom.
2.Straightened a little.
All with Picasa2.
