Photographer's Note

Pterosaurs (Winged Lizards) were flying reptiles whose ancestry is not clearly understood. Carnivores, they have been associated with the late Triassic to Cretaceous Periods of 220 - 65.5 MYA. Their evolution converged with that of dinosaurs. They were the first vertebrates to evolve powered flight, and grew to a wide range of adult sizes. This is a small pterosaur.

The photograph was taken at the Indodra Fossil and Dinosaur Park, Ghandinagar.
