Photographer's Note

Just outside my hotel, on Bhavan's College Road, I ewncountered this group of young men either heading back from or out to cricket practise. In many parts of the subcontinent, all they need is a ball and bat, and not even a cricket ball. Often, and cheaper, they employ a tennis ball. They were ready to smile, and you may even say that, with this photograph, I hit a six.
