Photographer's Note

Close to a little temple, this tank is situed beside the road going around the Arunachala Hill, an extint volcano of 800m high, which rises behind the town of Tiruvanamalai.
Due to the legend, this is the place where Shiva have manifested himself as a lingam of fire.
During the annual festival, about 500 000 devotees go to Tiruvanamalai to go up or around the hill , honnoring Shiva; Along the way (14 kms), offerings are made at a string of shrines, tanks, temples, lingams, pillared meditation halls, sacred rocks, trees and caves.

My sweet lord
Hm, my lord
Hm, my lord

I really want to see you
Really want to be with you
Really want to see you lord
But it takes so long, my lord

My sweet lord
Hm, my lord
Hm, my lord

I really want to know you
Really want to go with you
Really want to show you lord
That it won't take long, my lord
