Photographer's Note

I am trying to remember every detail, every emotion of my first tour in India.
I manage pictures and in the same time I am refreshing my mind about those fine places I visited.

Unfortunatly not every place is fixed in my memory. But I am nearly sure that this beautiful colored door is inside famous Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai.

the average man in the foreground distracts enough as to take away from the monk in the back, a wonderful door though i would like it a little closer

I like this a bit mystic atmosphere here - and I like how the light is caught here. The people give a good scale. A really special place...

Una bella foto chiaroscurale, con queste figure umane molto spontanee e una coloratissima cornice alla porta dove la composizione indirizza lo sguardo.
Datata e magari scattata con pochi megapixels (ma buoni!).

something strange, I posted the workshop and critique yesterday and critique disappeared. Nice photo of the door in Meenakshi Temple in madurai. In WS the closer look of the door just to refresh memory if you have not such shot.

There are so many corners in the Meenakshi, I try to remember wich gate, hard to remember, fine to see the WS.
Curious that in 2002 the re/white lines were not there, nowadays they removed it again. Pleasant that lady at the end of the coloms perspective along the boy in front. Good natural coloring.

I love the wondereful repeating symmetry of the the stone pillars framing the door. I also like the contrast between the two persons. Detail and solort is great as well.

Very nice photo, but I think it is not Meenakshi Amman Koyil, but the Paramapada Vasal at Sri Rangam.
