HEAVY BAG, a photo from Karnataka, South

Photographer's Note

A small girl arround age of 8 years going to school. Early in the morning..

She is carrying a hevy school bag more than the size of what she is able to carry.. Gurdians are very concious about their childrens education now a days..

Definitely an well awareness.. good cause for the nation...

Recently there was an issue with the traffic police department and the school authorities about the school buses in Bangalore... They proposed to use RTC ( Road Transport Corporation ) buses for that purposes..

PS: after posting my last photo i learnt from Sohrab about the burnning and dodging in Photoshop. ( sorry i could not find them in Photoshop CS but in Photoshop Elements )..I tried a bit.. this is for the first time.

Honestly I am not so pro B&W, as my moto is color your life and I see you learned to use some postprocessing to enforce a dramatic light-setting in it, congratuluation for your quick learning. The tools are in the toolbox of cs (Window/tools). A good daily life candid shot.

Hi Sandip, when i first saw it i thouth it was sohrab's photo.

I'm glad it isn't, i didn't reconize this style in you... but you did very well.

aaaaaaaaah don't worry even i'm not very good at photoshop.. infact i hardly burn/dodge my own photographs (very hypcritical of me in a way :)) as i prefer the dodging/burning done by hand..i ususally do it for workshops to give an idea..

i don't have CS, have an extremely old version of photoshop... but in that when i open photoshop, a tool bar opens up on the left and that's where these dodging and burning options are..

Beautiful B/@ Sandip. You composed this well and I think it works superbly with B/W. Burning and dodging in PS? Ill have to try it, Im still a PS beginner, I know only the basics.

Another nice daily life shot that is great in black and white medium and I like it very much,Sandip!
The light and its effect with shadows are great elements here in the shot,it has a special nostalgic feeling that I don't know why,but I like,very well composed with a great perspective,cetails and contrast,too,nicely done,Sandip.
