Photographer's Note
'Bhutta' (Maize / Corn on the cob) is an inexpensive and quite a popular snack in many parts of India. After the corn is roasted over a slow coal fire, it gets a rub of lemon with salt and red chili powder and it's ready to be eaten.
This picture was taken in Vizag's One Town area, an old, and for the most part, a poor area of the city.
As I aimed the camera, the lady selling the corn looked up in mild surprise while the one at the back offered a resigned smile.

Hi Satya
I can see the look of surprise on the womans face, and that makes this picture so much more real. There is nothing posed about her, everything is very natural. The corn looks and sounds tasty! Very nice candid photography, something I am always eager to learn about from other shots, so thanks for sharing.
Best wishes

Hi, Satya,
I can give 20 comments per day and this is my last points today. I think your daily photo is very interesting, it reminds me my trips to Mumbai, for example. Sometime I like to eat a corn (maize), good presentation of the woman at work. Excellent double portrait in an interior.
Best wishes,
Serghei

Hello Satya,
We are learning a lot about the people and practices of India through your photographs and notes. This must be a quick and nutritious snack, far better than the bar of chocolate!
A well taken shot, showing the interesting equipment used and the people using it.
I would imagine that the lady found it hard to understand why you would want to photograph her! Is it common for ladies to do this type of work? Do the ladies take it in turns to do the cooking?
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

hello Satya,
Nice scene from the Indian market, The older lady cooled herself with fan, it is a bit blurred. I like such corn, it must be delicious made in this way. I usually eat it just cooked and with butter. I must try with lemon and chili. Amazing how they can sit like this on the ground. Beautiful candid shot.

Bonjour Satya,
Elle n'est pas gênée et regarde directement dans ta lentille avec une certaine arrogance tout en travaillant de la main droit pour alimenter son feu.Je ne suis quand même pas certain que j'y goûterais.
Bon samedi

Hello Satya,
Quite often when I see your street-photos I ask myself if people would have reacted much differently if I had been the photographer. I have usually not met much trouble taking photos in Indian streets, but sometimes there has been a certain turbulence around me, not of hostility but rather of curiousity. Contrary to you I can not "melt" into the crowds. I like the look of the woman as she is watching you, and the reaction of the other woman is rather funny. I also like the mild but well saturated colours.
Kind regards,
Gert

Closeness, richness of colors and vivid detail make this shot attractive and engaging. The lady in welcoming manner steals the show taken at the crucial time. It's realistic and meaningful everyday life shot - one look that speaks volumes! Excellent street shot and tx for sharing, Congrats.

Hello Satya,
you captured this scene quickly and spontaneously but also in an excellent composition. The scene is comprehensive and interesting with very good details and attractive colours. I like the movement of the fan and the ladies' different attitudes. The intense glance is captivating, everything else, although interesting, seems peripheral. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great week,
Ourania
