Photographer's Note
Garland maker, Vizag, Poorna Market.
Flowers can be a medium of expressing one's feelings to the loved one or of expressing devotion to the gods. They can quite as well be nothing more than a means of earning the day's wages.

Hello Satya,
Many things have changed dramatically in india in recent years, but other things remain the same. This photo looks like what I could have taken in the 70's. It's a very nice street-photo with fine details surrounding the man. The loss of the bright colours of the petals don't mean anything to this kind of timeless pictures.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Satya,
Excellent choice of black and white to concentrate the attention on the man. I like his pose and the slightly curious look on his face. Very good technical presentation.

Bonjour Satya
J'aime beaucoup ce portrait noir et blanc . La scène de rue est des plus intéressante et fait un beau document sur la vie quotidienne dans ces endroits. On ne peut que regretter de ne pas voir les couleurs des fleurs.
Amicalement

Hello Satya,
this is a simple, effective and interesting portrait in which we can observe the process of garland making but also study the character and attitude of the gentleman working on it. Your tight frame includes only what's necessary for the viewer to grasp the scene and the gentleman's attitude towards his job. Composition, framing, sharpness and monochrome make the impact of his intense gaze and forehead wrinkles strong and intriguing. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
Ourania

Hi Satya
Je suis contente de voir une photo de vous...en plus qui est belle, j'aime le regard fixe et lointain du monsieur, la position de ces jambes comme l'on fait aux yoga ( lotus je pense) très belle présentation en N/B
Meilleur vœux

Hello Satya,
You have given us some excellent, crisp details, showing the street-seller and his work. He is not a young man but I could not help but notice the suppleness of his limbs, as he sits doing his work.
It looks like the sort of work that will have changed little over the years and I cannot imagine it bringing him a vast income!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Namaste Satya
A down to earth daily life shot and his thoughtful expression makes this image for me, not sure if he just wants to get it over with for you to buy the flowers. A strong character image indeed and very good human reportage. Well captured
Best regards

Flower are important as you said to express sentiments or make offends, mainly are they yellow and white, I believe
Like the expression of the seller, as asking or waiting for an answer
Well done

Hi Satya,
This is a beautiful portrait of the flower garland maker. The choice of B&W is very appropriate. And I like the way he is sitting so effortlessly in the lotus position.
I expect an activity that requires such patience could lead to meditation and peace of mind, which is so Indian.
TFS and kind regards.
Marie-Louise.
