Photographer's Note
Me & my two fellow photographer friends decided to celebrate the new year in Benaras. After the celebration we went to shoot the lovely city. After whole day of shooting we were in the Dashashwamedh Ghat to enjoy the beautiful Aarti. Suddenly the rain came down heavily, so we ran to a nearby plastic shade in the ghat to protect our gears. It was a heavy downpour for almost an hour. We were waiting & having fun & fear for our gears at the same time. This shot was taken while waiting to stop the rain. Thankfully our gears are safe. Thanks for the viewing

I like the light in this photo. It seems like a rainy night anywhere, in any city. Nice to think that is is India rather then closer to where I live. I also like the blurry person, so one feels them running from the storm.

Hello Satyaki,
It is a very nice combo. I like the feeling of pouring rain, wet floors and the ghost man with the umbrella.

Really nice picture! I find the black & white very well chosen. Not extremely sharp but with such climatic conditions it's not so disturbing. I strong rain is very well visible against the black sky, well done!

Hello Satyaki
Moody & atmospheric piece of work. I like the format choice too. It would make a fascinating album cover, but then again, I suppose not a very commercial one. ;) Thumbs up from me & have a good weekend.

Hi Satyaki,
Darkly beautiful, what can I say? I agree with Benny, the format makes this a great album cover..the less commercial the better I say :)
Cheers
Justin
