Photographer's Note

I had heard so much about the beauty of the Taj Mahal at dawn…how the colour of the white marble transcends from shades of pink red to orange and yellow…and I conjured and dreamt of such a scene ever since.

With this dream in mind I reached the other bank of the River was foggy, with the fog so thick that I could barely see anything 10 feet beyond. The Yamuna was dry with half of the river bed exposed, over which I walked camera in hand to almost half of the width of the river, pent up expectations in mind and dream in my eyes, waiting for the curtain to lift and the sunrise show on the Taj to begin.

But alas! The fog decided to dash my dreams, but through the thick veil of moisture, I could see the sky turning pink with the passing minutes. But where was the sun? I began my retreat and as I reached the bank.....I saw it, the size of a golf ball in the distant horizon. The fence you see in the FG is the boundary of the river.

A dream view? For me yes, it was my own little dream come true!

My last post for a while...I am off on Saturday for a trip with my family to another dream destination of ours (Yes, another dream :-))...Spiti, Kinnaur & Lahaul valley in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

Take care everyone!
