Photographer's Note

Yamuna, one of the great venerated rivers of India and this was the view looking at part of the riverfront by the northeast outside the walls of Taj Mahal. The canoe, just the daily way of things and was part of the setting and meaning, a mode of transport for river crossing by villagers living on the north bank linking them to Agra old quarter.

Observing from some distance offered endless fascination, clearly that river life was very relaxing, calm and tranquil. With this shot I wanted to show the gorgeous late afternoon Yamuna golden light, while trying my utmost to present an image in the best possible way worthwhile that I'll never forget

The water quality can be really disgusting - no offence meant, but the view is truly amazing .....
