Photographer's Note

This was a beautiful spot, one of the best I have seen, however the light was very difficult. Two halfs either to dark or to light. How to get the best out of the situation. Prehaps a polariser would have worked but certainly something to darken the mountains and sky. I have tried everything in pp but can't seem to get it right. Who wants to have a go?
This was a trek in Kashmir and it has to be said a lovely walk even though it had to be cutailed, we had parted with the complete sum of money to the organiser so when they decided to abort the trip we could not get back some of the money. Since then I always give part payment and then the rest on completion of a satifactory trip. This lot had been a little disorganised but there you go, live and learn.
On the lower right you can see one of the Gajar traditional rustic houses, its just beneath the birch trees.
