Photographer's Note
May be the horses had cold feet about carrying on, were was the grass? what would they eat? no they definately got cold feet about this trip.
Well 'cold feet' better let others know what I actually mean. Its an english saying and means to 'bottle it' or to not be brave enough to carry on (however prudence is the better part of valour) or just the plain realization that its not a very gopod idea after all. So ther you are, most sensible people don't do stupid things.

Dear Simon,
Gorgeous looking ice-field some-where near Srinagar. Colour effect somewhat like tecni-colour. Just body outlines appreciable in this long shot. Of-course it has presented the loneliness in the great mountain range.
Thanks for your interesting note.
Best wishes.

I like how you left plenty of space around this little group Simon, it works well to emphasise the isolation and emptiness of the place.
It's almost a monchrome shot anyway, but I'm glad you left it in colour - the browns and reds of the animals and people contrast well with the cold tones of the snowfield.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Simon,
Almost a B&W picture. Looks like there is no settlement nearby or for quite a distance. Composition is powerful in conveying the sense of desolation. Regards,

Great atmosphere in this image. I love the greyish tones all around. woke up in such a situation a couple of years ago in Bhutan. Snow all around, even the tents were all covered with snow and the horses were all around up as if nothing changed during the night.
