Shimla is very beautiful. Unparalleled natural beauty. It is a darling destination. Shimla has a picture perfect look as it's nestled in the wooded hills and warmly rested in the arms of nature.
Shimla houses many vintage architectural grandeurs, the State library is one of them. The library was constructed in 1860. More than 150 years old.

The building of the library is made of timber and the stone. Located on every side of the building, it has wide wood paneled windows. This sparkles its beauty more. It has a sloping roof, it does help the building to be safe from different weather conditions and weather elements.

Shimla is the most beautiful hill station in the northern side, barring the valley of Kashmir. For a library, the location is perfect as it is centrally placed in the city.

This is a must-visit place if you are in Shimla. As you walk down the beautiful street of The Ridge, you will see various Colonial style buildings. Behind the Shimla-church which is very famous in Shimla, the State Library is positioned. It's a beautiful structure and is one of the main cultural parts of the Shimla-city.
