Photographer's Note
Chitkul, on the banks of River Baspa, is the first village of the Baspa valley and the last village on the old Hindustan-Tibet trade route...it is also the last point you can travel to without a permit... Chitkul has beautiful houses with either slate or wooden plank roofs, which I will try to post later as well..
(sorry, my last trip's pictures had a misfortunate accident while burning the CDs...so I am sending the few saved ones until I receive the new CDs)...

Wonderful portrait. There seems to be an intense curiosity convey here. Perhaps it is the furrowed brow. The lighting and detail are great. Well done.

Long ago since the last time I see you around Fusun... I can see you are still in good shape about photos... Great portrait, it has soul within: His soul coming out throught the eyes. There´s a kind of sadness in him. I wonder why. Thanks for makes me think while watching a photo.

Beautiful portrait, it has an emotional pull to it. He looks as if he has had a hard life. It gives his face plenty of character though.
Good exposure, and the central composition works but It really is very very sharp, just a little much for me. (its hard to find anything wrong with a photo this good)
cheers, david

Hi Fusun,
A superb portrait. I cant help but relate your picture to mine (Lines of age). Love this shot. Nice and clear with excellent sharpness. I if the B&W version enhances the picture..i would personnaly have preferred a colour version...but this is great too.
One of my favourites

Tells a lot about him - and about your high sensibility for the soul, Fusun, for what's behind...
And about your high photographic quality

I admire again your talent in portraying and doing BWs out of digitals.
A beatiful light situation which emphasizes the lines in his face carrying sorrow along the years.Look really like a silver print.
Bravo...
