Photographer's Note

After the Tibet's invasion by the Chinese, a lot of of Tibetans exiled in India. The Dalai Lama settled in Macleod gangj and the place attracts many travellers.

Every morning, the first bus brings the beggars who settle day after days at the same places. Sat on the side walk, I observed an indian woman who was begging. She pinched her baby and made him cry. She was trying to explain to the people passing by that her baby is crying because he's hungry.

First of all, the scene shocked me but I stepped back and I said to myself that a mother has to be at the end of her sorrows to hurt her own child.

Tears contrast with the Tibetain temple and its cylinders prayers.
