Dharamsala, 10,October, 2003:- "I had a tears in my eyes, when Miss Tibet (Dolma Tsering) walked over the ramp with other contestants" says a much elated audeince during the screening of Miss Tourism Inter-Continental held in Malaysia at the Fourth Free Spirit Festival.

Tashi Delek..Namaste...hello...Bonsiur...Allo ha....greets Lobsang Wangyal, the man behind the show. The Lobsang Wangyal Production today kicked off " The Fourth Free Spirit Festival" amidst the glittering and dazzling display of fireworks,here at T.I.P.A open ampitheatre. In his introductory remarks, Lobsang Wangyal, the Director of the event, lamented at the retrograding mindset of the Tibetan community at large.

He specially referred to the poor state of existing platform and lack of opportunities available to those struggling and talented artists within our own community. Thus to supplement these shortcomings Lobsang Wangyal said that the main aim of this "Free Spirit Festival" is to give opportunity to all those budding artist.

Reminding the audience about the lone and existing religious orator Gyurchen Gyurmey (Lama Mani)at Dehra Dun, who is presently in a deteriorating physical state. Lobsang posed an open question, what will happen to this religious tradition?

After his brief extempore, the public were shown the highlights of the Miss Tourism Inter-Continental held at Malaysia, where former Miss Tibet Dolma Tsering was seen struggling for that pen ultimate moment. The audience were seen cheering wildly when she was subsequently accorded the Miss Goodwill subsidiary title. After the highlights, former Miss Tibet Dolma Tsering enthralled the crowd with her polished antics and style. She also sang a popular Tibetan number from Lhasa which swayed the public, much to the delights of organiser. An accomplished Tibetan singer from Nepal also sang the theme song of the event "Shambala Miss Tibet".

Towards the end of the event, reigning Miss Tibet Tsering Kyi made her way towards the ramp to rapturous outburst of the crowd. She delivered a recitation of two of her poems. In the final sequence, Dolma Tsering formerly passed the crown which is the running trophy of the Miss Tibet competition to Miss Tsering Kyi, thus bringing an end to the much anticipated show. Lobsang Wangyal presented Miss Tsering Kyi with a one lakh rupees as a scholarship to enhance her further education. Lobsang Wangyal in his usual flamboyant style invited the audience to dance on the stage after the crowning.

Today, the Tibetan musical prodigies and artists will be awarded Music Awards in recognition of their passion and zeal in preserving and evolving Tibetan Music.
