Photographer's Note

This was shot at focal length 200mm from very far on the road from Ladakh to Pangong Tso lake (14,270 ft) and just before Chang La pass, which is the third highest motorable road in the world at 17,800 ft.

This picture typifies the rough and difficult terrain of the region where narrow roads have been carved out like this. The fall is extremely steep and there is no tree or anything to hold one back. Even in these conditions the drivers, who are real experts, overtake which make the occupants literally hold their breath.

I love the winding end of the road.
