Photographer's Note
This graveyard is outside St. John in the Wilderness church in Dharamsala, North India, which before the earthquake of 1905 was a Hill Station of the British Raj. All of the people buried here are British and the place looks like it belongs in the UK. It's a peaceful place to walk in and I spent many hours reading the inscriptions on the tombstones. Lord Elgin is also buried here. There are some beautiful deodar trees here too which were spared the axe.
