Photographer's Note

Destination Paren, in the heart of the nature abutting Paren forest village with a flowing landscape of plans and hills, is reachable from Siliguri via Jaldaka driving through the Coronation Bridge, Chalsa and passing by the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary. Situated at 100 km distance from Siliguri is Jaldaka, famous for its Hydel Power Station is reachable by Bus, Shared Taxi or in ones own vehicle.

Drive to Paren taking a detour to the left on way to Bindu, the last point of the Indian Border with Bhutan, is a 10 km drive from Jaldaka. Transport on hire is available at Jaldaka to reach Paren. Located at a strategic point inside the forest with a view of the flowing landscape of the village hamlets, agricultural fields, rivers, hills and forest areas it is an ideal site for stay in the nature.

At Paren WBFDCL has two cottages as of now and propose to come up with two more cottages in a short time.
The beauty of Paren is made more eco-friendly by the Mini Hydel Power Station adjacent to the cottages which supplies power to the Paren Nature Resort and to the Paren Forest Village. One can see and appreciate the Hydel Projects working while being at Paren Nature Resort.
