Caught in the net, a photo from West Bengal, East

Photographer's Note

A fisherman gradually spreading his net around in the water. I was attracted by the color of the net and the way he was holding it as he released it in the water. This water body is an ox bow lake created out of the Bhagirathi river at Purbasthali, Burdwan district of West Bengal.

This pic is well composed. Love the color tones of the fish net! I have loved to see a close shot of the fisherman, his facial expression and muscles. The light and shade on his body muscles has come out really good.

Hello Bodhisattva,
I was attracted to the thumbnail of your shot because of the compositoin and the eye-catching shape and colour of the net. But when I opened the picture up, it was the fisherman's facial expression and his muscles that drew my immediate attention. There is no fat on this guy, every stomach muscle is clearly visible! I wonder whether this is just the product of his tough job or something more. Nice capture with great sharpness!
