Manebhanjang

Photographer's Note

I captured it at Manebhanjang, West Bengal. It is a village in Darjeeling district and has an altitude of 7053 ft. It is the place from which one can start Sandakphu ( 12000 ft ) or Phalut ( 11880 ft ) trek. In this place most of the trekkers from planes used to spend one day for adjust the altitude. The whole are was filling by mist quickly. A nice colourful small monastery at the opposite mountain attracted me which was steel visible through mist. Now I am sharing it with you. Hope you'll like it.

Hello Subhendu,

The mist give a special athmopsher to this image. I like the composition very well ballanced with the houses's roofs in the FG and the monastery to the top of the hill. This composition is very efficience and give a greta depht to the image.

Hi Subhendu,
I usually prefer a good visibility in my photos but I agree that the mist adds a special atmosphere to this view. The view is actually very sad as the houses are in such a poor shape, yet the photo is much more interesting thanks to it. There is an interesting contrast between the houses and the colorful monastery abouve it.

Hi Subhendu,

Nice to see the monastry in the misty atmosphere. The yellow temple have nice contrast with the below houses. Nice POV.
I have done a workshop for this image. The lower part has a lot of houses and it somehow steal the charm of the Monastry. I have cropped it a bit. You are more senior to me in photography as its only a few months I have stepped into it. I hope you will not mind it.

A lots of elements in this photo, good frame, attractive yellowish architecture standing above the old houses, the shape of pine trees near the monastery are look funny too, distinct photo shoot at a misty day, thanks for sharing.

The mist gives an enigmatic atmosphere to the place.
The yellow monastery and the green vegetation in the backdrop make an interesting contrast to the greyish buildings in the foreground.
