Photographer's Note

During the British Raj, until 1911, Calcutta ( now Kolkata ) was the capital of India, and the capture here is a living proof of it.

The view seems to be of a building isolated and far off from the usual hustle bustle of life, However, it is right in the heart of the city.

The architecture of the Building in the center of the market place here is straight from the streets of England.
