Photographer's Note

It is difficult to stop gazing at the Teesta (especially during the monsoons) and move on. I post here my last two pictures of the beautiful river. The first one shows two children fishing, or trying to, in the shallow water just below the embankment. I didn't stop to find out if they had any luck and don't know if they were able to catch a few 'Boroli Maach', a slim, silvery fish (Maach - in Bengali) slightly longer than your index finger that is found in abundance in the Teesta. It tastes good and also fetches a decent price at the market. The WORKSHOP photo is another early morning view of the river taken from Jubilee Park.
