Photographer's Note

This picture is taken at Frasergunj which is named after Sir Andrew Fraser, Lieutenant Governor of Bengal in the early twentieth century. Fishing is the primary occupation of the people here. There is a fishing harbour at Frasergunj. The fishing nets spread everywhere and the beach has now become a trawler reparing centre where the sea fishing trawlers are anchored. Fish drying and selling is also another occupation of the villagers here. This is a picture which is taken in the light of setting sun shows the way fishes are being dried in the sun by tying one with the other.
